If you don’t have your loan statements handy, Chase can help you obtain information about any federal student loans you’ve already taken out.
Our trained Loan Consultants can access your federal loan information and answer any questions you might have. Simply contact a loan consultant at 1-800-487-4404 and ask them to look up your federal student loans. By providing your SSN, they can quickly review your current outstanding loan balances, interest rates, loan status, and disbursement information at no cost or obligation. With this information, they can then provide you with a payment and interest rate estimate for your new consolidation loan.
Alternatively, you can obtain this federal loan information yourself using the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS). NSLDS is operated by the U.S. Department of Education and receives loan data from schools, lenders, and government agencies. NSLDS provides information about any federal loans in your name.
You can access the National Student Loan Data System online at www.nslds.ed.gov 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You will need to provide your social security number (SSN), the first two letters of your last name, your date of birth and a PIN - all of which help to ensure the highest levels of online security and privacy.
